Just started wearing hearing aid for about 3 weeks. It seems to help some but Im not sure to what degree. I may be hearing more words but hearing and registering seem to be two separate issues. I also cant hear somoene who talks quietly or whispers very well. I have the 8 frequency band amplification type BTE and here are my numbers.
RT 250-10, 500-10,1K-15, 2K-70, 4K-90, 8K-70
LT 250-15, 500-10, 1K-20, 2K-65, 4K-95, 8K-80
I know about the equipment to buy to program my own but getting the specific manufacturers software could be problamatic as they dont share it with users. Of course its $75.00 per vistit to see my Audiologist.
Looking for someone to dialog and discuss issues. Im in the wait and see mode and try to analyze where my energy needs to be focused.
Thanks in advance,
-Airplane
