Subject :  Thoughts I Ponder, now, @ over 80 years old
posted by kip on Thu May 31, 2012 3:04 pm
This Message Board has slowed down, again; so.......what better time... I kid you not - life is better for me now, even with all the hoh struggles, than it was when I was a youngster with only two pairs of shoes (one pair for school and one pair for church); and three dresses to wear (one for washing, one for school, and, one for church. Sorry, very little has changed in the hearing aid industry since I became hoh and needed assistance -- too expensive, too much trouble in the fitting area (that might not work, anyway), and, takes too much time (with non-ending appointments) away for family, friends, and making a living to feed the kids. The "too much trouble" is not my fault, your fault, or the hearing aid industry's fault; for, we all, are at fault - for sitting by, silent, and letting it happen for hoh people like you and me. Just the way it is, though. The only thing that keeps me going (with a smile on my face), though, is knowing that being over 80 years old, now; how many years do I have left to keep on keeping on, bucking The System; and/or
re-joining the "huh?" group, before God calls me home.
MY ANCHOR still holds -- Yeah. How about yours? kip
