Subject : Hearing in only one ear posted by ossett on Mon Jul 25, 2011 11:39 am |
| I have no hearing at all in my left ear, due to surgery. The right ear has moderate high-frequency hearing loss for which I wear a hearing aid. I have great difficulty hearing any conversation from my left. For example, if my wife drives the car and I'm the passenger, I can't hear a word she says. Years ago an audiologist told me about a device called a Cross that had a microphone in the left ear which fed its signal to a hearing aid in the right ear, but she didn't think the results were very satisfactory. Does anyone have experience with this type of device, and if so, how well do they work? |
