Subject :  Re: Cros Hearing aids

Second try at a reply - where do these go when you hit the wrong key??? Can't blame it on my hearing.

First to anyone else checking Bicros I recommend an article by Donald Hayes Ph.D in Audiology Online. Dated 2006 but no doubt still relevant points out the importance of proper fit.

I'm still researching and have asked my MD to send me copies of all tests done... at least with this info I may be able to find if an 'audio' is even interested in helping...I really do not want to waste either their time or mine.

Your suggestion of two independent aids is interesting. While they tell me the loss in the one ear is 'unaidable' one of my main goals is to find some way to stop or control the severe 'playback/reverberation' I get in that 'deaf' ear. Not tinnitus which is constant but I can live with it - this is entirely different and triggered by noise...I would assume that there is some residual hearing there - perhaps it can be utilized...worth asking about.

Back to research - thanks much and many for your input!
