I'm new here. SSD with less than perfect hearing in good ear. 'Clean' MRI. Examined by two audiologists. They both suggest BAHA and test using head band was fine in fact very good!. Very good word recognition (even masked) etc. etc. THEN they say 'too bad' hearing in good ear does not meet criteria - you need Cros or bicros. Severe to profound in right ear mild to moderate in left. From what I've read on the 'net' the cros and bicros aids are expensive gadgets that end up in a drawer. suggestions welcome. PLEASE
