Subject :  If, only

If, only, other hearing aid manufacturers would/will "test the waters" of AH's Change of Direction and join in for the benefit of HOHers, what a huge difference that would make for HOH people. Hundreds - and maybe even thousands of HOHers might be benefited; and because of that, the manufacturers would benefit, also. Now, about the "middle men/women" (Audis/fitters), they would be be incorporated into the manufactures' domain -- like how AH's machine works.
And, satellite branches, through out the country could open up with direct contact with manufactures "home office", thus
bridging flow of "how to" information not a huge problem, anymore. One of the first complaints I heard from local Audis/fitters was that no flow of critical information from the manufacture/brand/software, etc. to them, the Audis/fitters. Case in point - you don't have to believe what has been true for me --- For the HOHers, if there were no fittiing problems, if there were no financial problems, if there were no appointment go back problems, and if their trials were adequate; then, there would be very little use for websites like www.hohadvocates.org/message board. I found that AH met all of these (my) requirements, and then more, for me. AH puts their customers (that's us HOHers) first of importance, with a smile on their face/voice; and, goes about seeing if what they have, can fit your/my hearing loss areas; and if they are unable, they tell you why, and don't leave you dangling. All of this I have found to be true, as a user of AH's products. No need to take my word, though; AH has an informative website and a 1-800 toll-free number. As a disclaimer -- I am only a successful user of AH's products; and only found them quiet by accident while reading positive posts on this very Message Board. I still wonder if "If, only" - the subject of this, my thread, will ever come to pass, will other manufactures see the positive possibilites of AH's Change of Direction and join in -- probably, "Nope"; but HOHers that I have come to know are strong willed and will not give up their hopes for better things to come. kip
